LOVED THOSE FELLAS!!!!!

Do you guys remember the back up singers that "spun off" from Wham called Pepsi and Shirley? They had a album and performed on a couple of American dance shows (Soul Train, American Bandstand, etc.), but I don't think they had a whole lot of success.

I remember Pepsi and Shirley! Did one of them pass away?
I wouldn't recognize Andrew in that photo. eek
Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

how about the great sound of Where Did Your Heart Go?
on the Music From The Edge Of Heaven DVD
that song sounds so great

I spend my nights down on the wharf
In unlit alleyways
By the church downtown
Where Sally prays
Come down sometime
We'll share a rusty can of corn...
And listen to the radio
I love you, I love you, it says...
CHORUS:
Where did your heart go
Did you put it on a train
Did you leave it in the rain
Or down in Mexico
You cry, but I don't know
I've heard it all before
There it goes again, the slamming of the door
Sometimes the river calls me
And at night it calls my name
Says put your troubles down beside me
Things have always been the same...
And rock 'n' roll won't teach me
What the river said that night
I jumped into this beauty
And drifted out of sight...
CHORUS
Check it out ...Shiny Toy Guns R gonna blowup VERY soon and bring melody back to music..you heard it here 1st! http://www.myspacecomment...theone.mp3

Good recommendation. Other songs I liked on the album was "Ray of Sunshine", "Young Guns", and "Nothin'looks the same in the Light". Their version of "Love Machine" wasn't bad either.

true, that albums tracklisting was slammin! except for "Come On" which sounds like a pretty average album filler to me

Bad Boys
Ray of Sunshine
Love Machine
Wham Rap! (Enjoy What You Do)
Club Tropicana
Nothing Looks the Same in the Light
Come On
Young Guns (Go for It)
Vanglorious... this is protected by the red, the black, and the green. With a key... sissy!

One of the nicest little known slow tracks they've done is "Like A Baby". I used to use it as a panty remover back in the day. Excellent guitar intro. Too smooth.

hmmm Well, it was different. It was pop, yes, but it was still by a couple of British lads who had big hair and a slick, synthesized sound. They almost sonded like Culture Club without the Reggae influence. Maybe that's why I think they're New Wave.

anyway, hairstyles aside, personally I saw tracks like Bad Boys or Young guns always more in the tradition of some Chic Funk of Edwards&Rodgers or similar... but I can see your point. Hehe, when I remember for the first time catching "Wake me up before you Go-Go" on the radio without knowing yet it was the new Wham single, I thought: hey, is that Culture Club on some retro Motown trip? smile
