Confessions vs Thriller!

since they are decalring Usher as the new king of pop, how does his music compare to Jacko's? i honestly don't own any music by Usher but from the songs i've heard there is no comparison. how the hell is he the king of pop? just because he knows how to imitate jacko doesn't mean he's the king of pop.

As far as mainstream music.....who does Usher have to go against? MJ had two main heavyweights at the time.

i even catch him copying Mj's style at times lol
i remeber a year ago, he wore this black jacket at an award show, that i swear came from Mj's closet

Is he even still in the game? lol honestly, when you're today's pop start you have to be on it 24/7. He's slacking.

Fine, L.A. Reid, whatever. It still ain't nowhere near Quincy Jones' prowess.

Considering that ben owns this site, I don't think it's proper comportment to portray him in such a negative light. no no no! wink

All due respect, dancerella, Why don't we compare Pearl Washington to Michael Jordan next?

"Confessions" doesn't even hold a candle to "Dangerous," much LESS Thriller.

Indeed. Thriller and Off The Wall are two of the greatest albums of the last 3 decades, and they're just as much Quincy's records as they are MJ's (at least to me).

i know it really is a joke comparing the 2 but the sad thing is that kids growing up today will see usher as the king of pop.
