Some of these records are still factory sealed ('Heroes' by The Commodores and the two Rick James albums),but the other ones are used.I bought these particular albums because most of them aren't even available on CD.Shame on Motown for not releasing the classic Commodores albums on CD!


Has anyone else been to a used record store lately? Am I the only one who is still buying vinyl? LOL.

The two Rick James albums were only $4.00,not bad considering they're still factory-sealed (brand new).

The Commodore albums were each about $1.98.'Heroes' was factory-sealed so it was a few dollars more.

I have the Ojays album on CD,but I still want the vinyl for some reason

I never heard Chic's first album and it's not available on CD.

'Glow' is not on CD either.

Shit yeah! Anytime i happen to see one i wanna get, i buy it.

Nothing like the crackle of vinyl.... Too bad i was born a couple of years before compact disc became the new big thing.

i recently replaced an Original Andrea true Connection album.. for 1.99 when ive seen this album go for at least 25-50.00 and thats one thats opened and its not a re-issue

I buy vinyl albums all the time.

I try to get everything I want made before 1990 on vinyl, and everything after that, on cd. Except Tom Waits. He's an artist that I have to have the vinyl albums.

You know it! I shop the one used record store we have here once every few months. I always wait awhile and hope they get something in.

I'm buying vinyl every other weekend but I don't have time to post my finds, there's too many.

Here's a question, what kind of shelving/storage system do you guys use?

I've done the milkcrate thing and that just looks like shit, then I've bought those utility shelves that say they can hold 500 lbs (horseshit)

I'm ready to build something out of Oak that looks good and fits all of my records

Love Vinyl! Just got Eminem's new one and The Roots' new one on vinyl so it is nice that some artists still do that. Nothing compares to the sound and the feeling of putting on an lp but I suppose I'm dating myself a bit. Did y'all know that Matt Dillon brings a turntable and his lp collection when he is on a movie set for long periods of time? He's a vinyl junkie. As far as storing them, those record collector magazines have ads for storage units and such. One day I'll do that but for now the milkcrate thing is cool.
