Imagine, it was 24 years ago today, John Lennon Murdered!!!

At 11 in the evening it has been 24 years since John Lennon got shot down cold!!

Time flies..... Thought I start this thread just to remember this useless murder of one of the greatest songwriters ever...

So sad that that's how I became aware of him as an individual (I knew the Beatles and I knew Paul at the time)

as much as i love the Beatles and John, i gotta say i'm glad it was him and not Bowie (who was also under consideration for murder by MDC).

that said, why couldn't he have been a bad shot and gotten Yoko instead? hrmph

I'm not wishing him dead rather than Bowie. Lennon IS dead rather than Bowie. And if I had to pick one or the other to get shot, it'd be Lennon.

seriosuly, from what I can remember, wern't they thinking of meeting each other again (the beatles that is) and Yoko wouldn't like that of course? I know it is a long shot but? Yes it makes no sense but that woman is so weird and manipualtive though

So much so that she sold his blood-stained shades in an auction.

Yeah, you gotta point here.... But love can also make you do strange things... maybe she wants him to be remembered so much, by doing this..

Anyway, it is insane to think she has to do something with this murder
