DURAN DURAN ROCKS MY WORLD! Last night experience... Duran Duran rocks my world!!! I saw them at the Carson Daly New Year's Eve taping last night.
Before you read on just know that I'm 29 but when it comes to DD i'm still in teeny bopper mode! OK OK...first off the set list is not going be NEARLY as descriptive as Vina's experience (I'm so jealous! Vina we need to see them together!!) But I had a John and Simon experience!!!! First off - we stood in the rain two ("Hold back the rain...") hours before they let us in... (it's where they film the Today show outdoor concert series). they did two songs...Tomorrow and Girls. They did each song twice (not bad to hear twice) but John messed up the bass line the second time they did tomorrow and his face was so priceless - it was the cutest "oh shit!" SO I'm up front and everyone is screaming and before they did Tomorrow the first time, I'm screaming "Welcome back Rogers!" and "Johnnnnn!" Finally it got really really quiet and what comes out of my mouth..."John I want to have your baby!" He heard and turned red and started laughing. OK, I'm the biggest dork, I know...but that's 20 years of John Taylor lust in me. Then during the song, john is silently singing along to the what happens tomorrow words and he looks at me and sees me singing them to him and smiles and sings them back...can I just tell you how much I squealed? Ok, so the whole thing is over and they walk off stage. Roger is so short, by the way (but so cute!). And they are holding an umbrella over Simon and he is walking through the crowd and saying thank you and shaking hands and I screamed "Simon you rock my world!" and he touched my arm and nodded at me... so I'm just having orgasm after orgasm...it was a nice night for me - standing in the rain was worth it.... They did it during both takes of WHT...by the way, Nick was very quiet and reserved. I thought of you Vina everytime I looked over at him!!
