morris day-daydreaming dez dickerson-one man jay-z/linkin park-collision course bt-r&r paul van dyk-out there and back tiesto-in search of sunrise 3 dvd:hero(jet li),bend it like beckham,reality tour,shaolin soccer I've been checking out what I can in bits and pieces.I have been making a lot of effort to take in everything.It's tough,though.I'm still listening to all the other stuff. I haven't really gotten a handle on it yet.I did watch the dvd and he was bored. It was like a hip older man hanging out with gung ho kids. I mean, "99 problems" rocked ,but I will have to give it time. I will probably like it. Jay-z's lyrics from the black album and his phrasing are just perfect so it's hard to mess it up.LP is capable of rocking me a little. I know it won't be timeless and it's def not original..it's a chance to cash in on all the internet mash-ups...I'm sure I'll enjoy it for what it is.But I thought it kinda' telling that when teh show was over Jay-Z just kinda' left and seemed to get the hell out of dodge instead of hanging with his new buddies.Kinda;' a weird mix. I think it would have been better if jay-z did a song with them and a song with a bunch of other collaborators. He could have made it really interesting. How about jay-z and u2 or jay-z and bowie?? Am I crazy? I just made a promise to myself to buy no more cds. I have way too many. maybe in a couple years I'll switch to the ipod revolution. Maybe by then they'll have an ipod stereo. |
