anyone like the Dixie Chicks?

hey

Was just listening to 'home', after it had been laying around for a couple of months and the more i listen to it the more I appreciate it. 'Traveling soldier' is an awesome song and the lyrocs are very strong...love this album very much and i think it's an outrage they were banned for opening their mouths...anyone else like these Girls?

I never heard any music by them (can imagine though, kinda) but I looooove the way they dare to take a stance.

A democratic stance in a republican ruled musical style.

i sort of liked them starting out when they were bluegrass with a pop angle. now they're just pop with the occasional nod to bluegrass thrown in. no thanks.

I posted that cover and it made me think... how many "country loving" Americans would have been offended by this cover.

I remember a Rolling Stone cover with The Red Hot Chili Peppers with them naked, but shielding their normally sock-covered items with their hands; the cover sparked magazine burnings (VERY medieval! Hurray for America!) and cancelations of subscriptions...
