Bowie fans, a little help

Could anybody tell me where I might find the original version of David Bowie's "The Prettiest Star". I'm not talking about the version on Aladdin Sane. I mean the one from 1970 (I think) with Marc Bolan on guitar. I've checked every Bowie disc I've seen and I haven't found it on any of them.

It's on the Sound & Vision box set. Dunno if it's on anything else.

I'm pretty sure it's on the Sound and Vision boxed set. It's the "single version" of the song.

If you're referring to the "Digibook expanded editions", Amazon.com/uk has them. I'm not sure if they ship to the US or not.

grrrrr. i'm thinking i might just get the hours digibook for mama, cuz i can't afford all three at twenty five bucks a pop, and the hours extra disc is easily the best of the three anyway. ah well.

it's on "The Best of David Bowie 1969-1974" .... probably the best single-disc compilation of his entire career (and there have been many).

PS: i don't mean it covers his entire career (it only covers the years in the title), but it's the best one that's ever been put out. by far better than "1974-1979" which by all rights should have been better, but isn't. in fact, it's almost awful.

i was looking on ebay for them, and they're quite expensive. one of the item descriptions mentioned that the box set version was limited to 2000 copies worldwide.

i'm not as much interested in having the box set packaging as i am just being able to find the digibook reissues themselves, but i'd be lying if i said my inner collector geek weren't salivating over the idea of snagging one of those suckers.

The individual ones have been going for at least $25 on there too I'm afraid. sad
