I have been a fan of Rashaan Patterson since his first release and have played all of his CD's non stop, yet most people i talked to have never heard of him.

Am i on this plant alone. tried to research to see if he was mentioned in this forum before....thougts.....

I'm also heavy into Rahsaan. Just last week I got an "official" copy of his latest, After Hours, after I'd previously had it on bootleg. I love his voice. Love In Stereo is still probably my favorite cd from him, but I love everything he's released to date.

Alicia is like a few other artists for me.. you really gotta listen to the album a good 4-5 times and then something clicks and you love it.

I am also a die hard Rahsaan fan. Only seen him perform once. Amazing. I never knew why he didn't get more props. They do play him on XM satellite radio though.. Ch. 62 the Flow.

Rashaan has some nice songs. My fav is still the one from his
"Love in Stereo" album called "The Moment" feat Bootsy.

I just got the latest album, and "So Hot" is kicking my tail.

It was also nice to see the input of Van Hunt.

I love his music. I have to pick up his latest CD. Some of my favorite songs by him are:

I also love his work on Tevin Campbell's "Back To The World album...one song in particular called "Could It Be" (you can really hear him on background vocals).

He's come a long way from playing "The Kid" on Kids Incorporated (the original cast from the 80's).

Anyway,up until recently I only heard his songs by way of radio and wasn't really impressed. A few months ago my wife and I were at a club and the DJ starting playing songs for the crowd to step to. Thank god the DJ omitted the obvious and overplayed R. Kelly stuff.

So we're stepping and all, and this groove comes on, still stepping... sounds like a cross between "A Love Bizare" and "Screams Of Passion" but funkier. Driving in my car last week and that same song came on. It's "Burnin'" by Rashaan picked up the CD and been grooving to it all week.

She suggested he audition for this new kids show called "Kids Incorporated" and the rest is history. The majority of the characters on the original cast have all had some success in music.

Martika (the oldest girl) had a huge hit in the 80's with "Toy Soilder" which Eminem is sampling on his latest track. She also had a huge hit with "Martika's Kitchen" which was written and produced by Prince.

The youngest girl "Stacy Ferguson" and the middle aged girl "Renee" formed a group called "Wild Orchid"with a third member and they had a hit with a song called "Pray". Stacy has since moved on and is a member of "Black Eyed Peas".

A friend of mine said he saw him at the House of Blues in LA a few years ago and he brought his boyfriend on stage and introduced him to the audience. I told my friend I refuse to believe it, but he swears it's true.

I strongly suggest listening to the songs mentioned above and picking up his first two albums.
