Michael Jackson's Thriller Re-Enters Billboard 200

Very good news on the USA chart front for Michael Jackson.

Last week, his Thriller re-entered the Billboard 200 Comprehensive Album Chart at #183 selling 11,900 copies last week. Sales of the Special Edition now stand at 708,000 units in the USA. The album itself is certified 26 X platinum and was last certified by the RIAA in October 2000 - four years ago. It could easily be argued that at least two more platinum certifications are overdue.

eek WOW biggrin
"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really donĀ“t like the idea that he could have it all."

See the promotion for a box set full of old shit reminded people they had to cop Thriller. This makes sense if you've worked at a CD store when old albums go on sale at the same time as a new release.

He already beat out the Eagles this year. He currently has the best selling recording of all time in the US and the world (thanks to strong recurrent sales of his original album and the recent special edition version).

Actuallylast week at the record store, all MJs cds were going for 2 for $30 (Canadian) which was a good buy considering MJ's music is always expensive for some reason

Note: Thriller has scanned approximately 80,000 units in the USA over the past four months.
