I really like Tonex.... But there is only one Prince... alot of Prince worshippers.... but only one Prince. While I enjoy Tonex, I find him to be a very talented lost artist. Originality comes with being a Prince clone... Say like Van Hunt

I love it when people accuse younger artists of being Prince Clones, just because they sing falsetto or share a similar, narcissistic image -- as if Prince emerged fully formed on the music scene like Venus from the sea.

That concept is as mythological as Venus.

Prince, truth be told, is a talented artist who at times has been a clone of Sly Stone, James Brown, Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Wonder and Little Richard.

Tonex is a really talented artist in his own right with some unconventional gospel production. And, Tonex could out-sing Prince any day of the week. Not bad for a "clone."

With all due respect. I am in no way dissing Tonex. I love the dude he is very talented. He is just like many of us proud of P for what P has given to the music industry. He could probably out sing P. Even though P has borrowed influence from many.... He stands alone. We use the term prodigy and genius loosely.... We seem to think that if someone isn't singing Gospel that they are not operating in God's gift. Let me tell you. Prince operates in a very unique calling his profiency on multiple instruments is astounding. That is why I do not like for people to compare people. Tonex operates in a unique calling. There is no such thing as gospel production. Production is production. They both have my prayers and support. I will say though very few artist today can do what Prince and Stevie wonder does.... very few... many are called but few are Chosen... Sometimes it snows in April.
