Favorite era of Jackson 5/The Jacksons/Michael Jackson

What is your favorite era of either Jackson 5, The Jacksons (the group or each sibling), or Michael Jackson, or combination of groups...as long as the albums were released in order?

My favorite era is:

Destiny - The Jacksons
Off The Wall - Michael Jackson
Let's Get Serious - Jermaine Jackson
Triumph - The Jacksons

I will chose the same era, but maybe extend it a bit to include the Jacksons Live album and... Thriller smile

and if there's still some place in that box I will also take Going Places and The Jacksons (1976)
Vanglorious... this is protected by the red, the black, and the green. With a key... sissy!

musically, the best mj years are 78-81 and 91-97, that would include destiny, triumpth, off the wall, live, then, dangerous, history and the 5 trax from BOTD!

I think MJ now realises Invincible didnt live up to the craftmanship and brilliance of his other solo records and im pretty sure his next cd will be amazing judging by the trax he threw away for the Ultimate Collection (We've had Enough)

Janets best years were Control/RN1814 and the Velvet Rope, the rest we could do without!

Destiny, Triumph, Off The Wall, Thriller, and Bad. I LOVE the music from Dangerous but, during this time he was getting a little too into the kiddies for my taste. Blood on the Dance Floor sucked but, I have to admit I never purchased it. HIStory was great but, I never purchased it either, "Maybe Tomorrow". I didn't get Invincible but, I wasn't impressed with my sisters copy. His vocals were not up to par and I think this album was just an album he didn't seem into it to me. I wasn't buying any of the love songs from that album, they weren't at all convincing.

Good to see some Jermmaine stuff there.....underated solo artist I reckon, though i prefer his 80's arista stuff though, Motown mostly gave him nothing but average-nice songs....."Lets get serous" (the album) is cool though

"you said you said"(1991) was Jermaines best album though.....

My fave era, was from destiny to victory. The shows, the performances, and more importantly, Michael was just sooo on top of his game. Its shoking to think that he hadnt left the group earlier because at these stages he was cause of any success (and still there were so many), that the group was having. Just chek the songs he wrote at this time, he was on fire men.

Pagey

Jackson 5. Anytime I hear any Jackson 5 tune it immediately puts a smile on my face and makes me think of when I was a kid, dancing to those songs on my record player.

Next would be the Jacksons...Destiny and Triumph are killer albums and have held up well over the years. Victory was not as good. I never listen to that one anymore (come to think of it, that was the year Prince replaced Micheal as my favorite artist at the time...I remember being pretty disappointed in Victory...and Purple Rain...well...y'all know).

Janet's stuff is alright...I like Rhythm Nation and Control (since they have so much of that Minneapolis sound in them thanks to Jimmy and Terry). Some of janet is ok. Not a fan of the most recent stuff.

As for Micheal's solo years I am sad to day I really only listen to Off The Wall and a couple Thriller tunes these days. Bad was ok but overplayed at the time. He lost me from Dangerous on.
