Kraftwerk: Autobahn vs Trans-Europe Express

Damn I love these albums TOO much and I just got into them recently. I only bought Trans-Europe Express the other day but it's already imbedded in my brain, probably coz I listen to it during the day and then when I'm going to sleep.

Much as I love Autobahn, surely Trans-Europe Express is their greatest masterpiece?

I know for sure that's what I'll be listening to on my European travels through Switzerland and Germany next week biggrin Hopefully I'll have Computer World by then too.

Trans-Europe Express for me - I think it's their most entertaining and satisfying album by far. Autobahn is a ground-breaking and inluential song, but does anyone ever actually listen to it? (just watch - the next twenty posts will be people stating that they listen to it all the time).

Trans-Europe and Man-Machine usually are in fairly regular rotation on my turn-table, Autobahn, almost never...

Definitely Trans-Europe Express nod
But I would say Computer World is their undisputed masterpiece.

i dunno if i can pick just one album that's better than the others.

i don't like their latest. it's the only album of theirs i've heard and not enjoyed.

i DO know i can't wait for their reissues to come out next year.

Me too. Hadn't heard of these.

As much as Autobahn and TEE are the groundbreakers, I find I put on Man Machine most of all. Every song is so cool and fun.

well, all i know is, there have been rumblings on another music site i check out, and there was a link to the kraftwerk site to show that the reissues are in the pipeline...they're guesstimating that the reissues should be released early next year. hopefully this is true!
