I won tickets to see Duran Duran tape a show for VH1! VH1 and Bailey's present a special Duran Duran performance at Sony's Studios in
Culver City next Sunday, December 5th. The show is being taped and will be aired at a later date. Tickets will NOT go on sale for this event but we have at least 50 pairs of tickets to giveaway exclusively to DuranDuranMusic.com members.

Congrats! Well... there was a contest to meet them backstage on Friday night and I didn't win that one.  But for this show they were giving away 50 pairs of tickets and I was like "I better get into this one!"
I'm thinking I should put together a package for Nick... My demo cd and a picture of us so he can remember meeting me in 1990. I'll throw it on stage.  | |

I wonder with these contest, does everybody really get a chance to win, or will some people win repeatedly? I hope that isn't the case, so most if not all will eventually win something.

Actually I am a member as of October. Problem is I forgot all about the site until two days ago. I go on dd.com almost daily. So yeah I did see the contest and contemplated long enough to figure either 1) I wouldn't win. 2) Get stuck with going alone. Today I am over that. As for tv appearance, I tried keeping up in the beginning, but that slipped, plus I'm still mad over a taping snafu with one of their tv appearances, (don't wanna talk about it) I'll definitely make a note for VH1, but now I just look out for magazine articles. Glamour UK has a really good article and pics, also I like the fact that it's small.

Ok, I just made my hotel reservations for Sunday night. It's gonna be an all day affair so I didn't want to drive back that night. I have to pick up the tickets in Marina Del Rey between 12-5pm, then get to Sony Studios for the show by 6:30 when the doors open. I'm guessing the concert will start around 7:30 or later... who knows how long it takes to tape an hour show... So I didn't want to have to drive home at like 11pm on Sunday and get up for work the next day. Good thing I have vacation time saved up! I'm sooooo excited! | |
