Natalie Imbruglia - Left of the Middle (1997)

Natalie Imbruglia - Left of the Middle (1997)

What does the org think of this album?

I bought it around the time it was released. Yeah, looking back now I can see that it was largely comprised of MOR/VH1 fluff, but I felt some of its tunes like "Wishing I Was There," "Pigeons & Crumbs," "Intuition," "Impressed" and "Torn" (I feel like such a Starbucks Coffee-sipping pansy when I hear this now).

Better get out my Jewel, Paula Cole and Meredith Brooks CDs while I'm at it. j/k

Natalie's hot. Her second album, White Lilies Island, was better. Naturally, it was ignored.

Thank ya! biggrin

Pretty much, if you don't already own the album, you're not missing anything. I like some of the songs on it, but it's USED bin ready.

Wow.

I have to say, i loved this album on its release, and i still love it - and in fact, listened to it a couple of days ago. boxed Especially Pigeons & Crumbs (which for me is a drop dead classic, laugh all you like) and the beautiful title track.

Really, surprisingly good. I say surprisingly, because i think pretty much everyone was rolleyes at the idea of another beautiful (and she is mighty beautiful) soap star having a crack at the pop scene.

So anyway, eighteen thumbs up from me. smile

There ya go!

Loved Joan Osborne's "Relish." "One of Us" is a '90s standard.

Imani Coppola -- man, you're takin' it there. LEGEND OF A COWGRRRL!!! yes

Lisa Loeb & Nine Stories' "Stay" was my song. The shining jewel of the Reality Bites SDTK. heart'ded it.

Speaking of soundtracks, remember all those Gen X SDTKs like Empire Records, Singles, Dazed & Confused, Romeo + Juliet?
