Yes, you are on to something. Supposedly, in real life, one of the brothers were kicking it with the lead female vocalist in the band. Now, you must remeber this band has went through a series of female vocalist in the band starting from 81'.

I dug Barbara Weathers. I heard that she and the brother that she sings "All in the Name of Love" with were engaged. Always wondered what happened to her - had a major crush on her.

Sharon Bryant was the s**t,too. Very powerful voice. And cute dimples wink

I had a major crush on her too lol

Barbara stuck around for only two albums---1985's 'As The Band Turns' and 1987's 'All In The Name Of Love'.She released a solo album in 1989 but I haven't heard nothing from her since.Meanwhile, the band went through several female vocalists after Barbara left...lol...each time they released a new album, there was a new singer in the band.

I don't really care for it. It sounds too poppish for me. I'm more into "Am I Dreaming", "Send For Me", and "Freak-A-Ristic".

They did go very poppish after Secret Lovers & Always but they were just that, good for afew singles but not worth the album. I listen to only their best singles which were Circles, Touch a four leaf clover, My first love, Secret Lovers and If your heart isn't in it.
