Considering that she's had four (or is it five?) albums, I don't find it that odd. I haven't got it, but she tends to release the single-worthy tracks, so for casual fans like me it's not a bad idea.

I personally don't care much for her like I used to but I liked Shadow and Breathe On Me from the last album

Well, she's had 4 albums and about 4 singles per album, almost all of which were big hits. Not so strange.

The same reason Madonna released The Immaculate Collection back in 1990. She had only released 4 albums during the 80's. Then after The Blone Ambition Tour and The Immaculate Collection-era, which is IMHO her glorious peak, she did the SEX book, the movie Body Of Evidence, and her EROTICA album. All 3 projects destroyed her career, but it was 1997's Ray Of Light that saved it.


Britney, on the over hand, I think she will follow in the same footsteps Madonna did. She will eventually do something as explict or provocative as EROTICA.

P.S.- I do have Britney's Greatest Hits album and that silver foil that resembles a digipak is beautiful, but it does stink. My fingerprints are all on the glossy package and the album cover is just as bad, but I have been dying to see her sexy body...

I'm not even touching that madonna comment, but the reason Britney Spears has released a "Greatest Hits" when her career in music has reached a milestone 5-year mark is because she had 2 cancel her World Tour, The Onyx Hotel, due 2 poor sales, I mean "knee injury". Now she owes her record company millions and this is a way of replenishing some of that lost revenue.

By the way, she suffered the exact same "knee injury" during the filming of her "Somtimes" video in 1999, she appeared in public 4 the 1st time a month later, she had (.)(.) that had gone up 3 whole cup sizes!
