Bands Reunited/Behind the Music

Last night, I was riveted to my TV as I watched VH-1 (via MuchMoreMusic, here in canada) try and reunite ABC. Martin Fry, whom I'd previously assumed to be a complete and total jerk-off, actually had me moved near tears as he described his battle with Hodgkin's disease and how he'd come to find deep, personal contentment in family life. By the end, I found myself rooting for him as he took the stage to belt out "The Look of Love" and "Poison Arrow" for one last time!

Are you like me? Will you sit through an hour-long documentary on a band that you never really gave a toss about?

I would (and have) sat through these shows. Don't do so, so much now with BTM as all it is is an informercial for a band's latest release.

Bands Reunited I'll watch if there's nothing else on or if I like(d) the band.

It sucks though how lame BTM has become.

I haven't seen BTM in a long time. They don't seem to air it here anymore.

It's on every so often. They have been airing re-runs of it. Damn shame to because there were lots of stories left to be told.

I liked when they reunited Klymaxx. That was interesting. They were so mad at that one chick.

I love ABC. Lexicon of Love is my 2nd favorite album ever, so seeing him on that program was a real treat to me. big grin

i have done it for certain bands but not others. i guess i'd rather know something about them than nothing at all but usually, if it's music related i'll watch it!

No. But wake me when they feel the need to go beyond the one token Black band on Bands Reunited.

If I'm super hung over and have a plate of nachos, then... YES, absolutely. I can think of no better way to spend an hour.

The New kids on the block reunited one was sad.....the 2 brothers in the group agreed full on, whilst another did but not on the programmes terms..9so half and half)..the other 2 would not even be filmed on camera! Though 1 gave a statement at least!

The other would not even give that! What a fucking loser.....I felt sorry for the brothers.....gave them some hope for a little while!

The one who did not even give 'em a statement is a total twat in my book, u cannot just do that to hardcore fans.....it is mean and he made life money as part of that group and that is how he repay's the few fans left? Disgraceful.....

Anyone else catch this episode?

The ABC "Bands Reunited" episode is one that I really wanted to see from the beginning, as this is one of my favorite bands. Unfortunately, I only got to see the concert portion at the end. I've got to keep my eyes open so I don't miss it when it re-airs.
