Part 1 was great.

It was funny hearing Janet talk candidly about all the animals the Jacksons owned back in the '70s. She talked about how she came home one day and found Jermaine with a cub. LOL!

I learned some new things from this audio doc -- especially about the recording of "Control" and Jan's thoughts on her first two albums.

I liked the segment when Janet and Jimmy talked about getting ready to make Control. Janet's father kept telling Jimmy & Terry: "Don't make Janet sound like Prince" ... "I know you all are out there in Minneapolis, whatever you do, just DON'T make her sound like Prince!"

It was cute hearing Janet talk about going to see Morris Day & The Time in concert and being embarassed because her mom was sitting beside her. It got kind of colorful during the "more suggestive parts."

My real audio cut off during the Control segment, so I need to listen to that 15 minute chunk again.

Great stuff. Looking forward to Part 2 next week.

ABeautifulOne, you'll be happy to know that Kelly Rowland of DC3 spoke in the documentary about going to Janet's tour with Beyonce when they were little girls. They remember idolizing her and crying because they wanted to be on stage like Janet, have her hair and perform on tours like her. It was funny.
