Eddie murphy

He made 3 music albums!

"how could this be" (1985)
"So happy" (1989)
"Loves alright" (1993)

Of each of these 3 albums, 3 classics/ most hated tracks were born:-

"Party all the time"
"Put your mouth on me"
"Whatzupwitu" (duet with Michael Jackson)

So which one do u like best and worst if u had to pick? Also if u do not know these 3 tracks, what track do u know?

My fav out of the 3? Proberly "put ur mouth on me"...track is so damn campy and fun....."whatzupwitu" had a trippy video and cool lyrics, that is second best!

"party all the time" is pretty average to me

I enjoyed "Party All The Time" from the first album...it had that nice Rick James sound going on. I have it on a compilation album.

I hated "Put Your Mouth On Me". I thought it was pure silly and stupid...something like Weird Al Yankovic might make. I never even considered buying this album.

There are some pretty decent tracks on the third album "Love's Alright". Now this album, I actually bought. I love the title track, it sounds very Prince influenced. I also like "I Was A King" and the house-like "One". There was also some junk on this album as well but it at least showed a serious attempt at music. I think Eddie could have grown as a musical artist if he had kept it up.

hehe, yes, I have "How could this be" and "So happy" smile a few nice tracks were on them probably... but Eddies singing voice?? eek no way... I'd rather enter a taxi with Stevie Wonder as a driver... hey, but after almost 15 years maybe I should listen to that albums again, BEFORE I give a final verdict...

oh... and, talking about comedians: has anyone ever heard Arsenio Hall's (aka Chunky A) "Large and in Charge"? I have that one as well and.... and... well... let's go back to a music thread, shall we? biggrin

Vanglorious... this is protected by the red, the black, and the green. With a key... sissy!

Yeah "loves alright" (album) is very differnst in tone to the rather woman hating "so happy".....Eddie had by now found love in real life and it shows, he grew up!

I love "one" and "don't give up on love". Infact I rate "don't give up on love" very highly, it is great to get over someone....very positive. "Always is love" is lovelt too. Their r some real stinkers on this album though.

"don't give up on love" was just waiting to be a late night lovers radio single. He sings it well too..nice and plain and not over the top!

Off "so happy" i really dig the serious and rather sad title track. Also "till the moneys gone" "i got it" r pure funky stuff.....

Remember the video for "Whatzupwitu"
Pure comedy, but unfortunately not on purpose shrug
I thought I was the only one that
remembered his singing career?

Glad hes not still tryin wink
Eddie, why dont u take care of the comedy
and leave the music to...anyone else

Though I'll admit it
I jam a little when "Party all the Time" comes on!
If you will, so will I
