I was thinking of buying this as I don't own any Genesis albums and am not that familiar with their work. This collection is reasonably priced at 25 euro in Tower Records and looks pretty comprehensive.

My question is, what's with all the "new remixes" by Nick Davis? Is this a case of someone tampering with the originals, ala Madonna's Immaculate Collection, or is it more like remastering in sound quality?

If they're drastically different from the originals then maybe I won't buy it.

Which ones to buy depends on which Genesis you prefer really.
