It's from their 1977 self-titled album.This album features the massive hits "Brick House" and "Easy",but I think "Funky Situation" could have easily become a huge hit single too.Who else loves this song?

and it comes with an autographed poster ( if u have the original vinyl of course) that self titled album is tight as fuckety fuck..

Hell yeah! But the jam on this album was/is "Zoom". The Commodores were on a roll between 1976-1980 and this by far their best album imo. when I thimk of 1977 there were a lot of great music that year:

Slave, Self titled debut album

The only Commodores I have is a greatest hits album and the live album they did. I also have the 12 Inch of "Brick House" on a compilation.

In 2005,Lionel and the Commodores are gonna reunite for a new album and tour!


I've been hearing these rumors for years,so who knows if it'll really happen? But Lionel confirmed in a recent JET interview that he's working on it.

VH1 tried the reunite The Commodores for "Bands Reunited", but they were only able to get three of the members to meet.

They tried to reunite Shalamar. They went to Howard Hewitt's house and rung the doorbell. He answered the door and asked him to participate. He was with it but warned them that it would be hard to get the others to agree to it. Jody Watley informed VH1 through her reps that she wasn't interested, so that nipped it in the bud. They didn't mention Jeffrey Daniel, though.
