The Outkast album already had it's Grammy night last year (I don't think it won album of the year, but probably should have). The Lil' Jon album came out too late. I really didn't care for much new music this year. I'm rooting for "Damita Jo" but that's it.

For album of the year?
Probably The Cure. It'd be nice to see Prince get recognized though.

I don't mean to be rude but I can't see how anyone can say with a straight face that the believe 'damita jo' should be nominated for album of the year. It's by-the-numbers been-there-done-that r & b: and this is coming from a Janet fan.
I think that Loretta Lynn and Brian Wilson will get nominated for best album and deserve it as well. Jill Scott for R & B; Kanye West for rap (might I add I don't understand why this album is so highly rated.). All the really interesting music that has been released this year has been from underground artists who would usually struggle to get Grammy nods. Very interesting to see how these pan out.

i wish U2's album had come out before the September 30 cut-off. it's by far my favorite this year, beating out several people I'm actually bigger fans of than U2 (Prince, Elton John, Rufus Wainwright, George Michael, Janet Jackson, etc.)
but I guess i'll go with Prince. i don't care one way or the other if it wins, but a nomination could lead to another show-stopping Grammy performance. "Awards are like hemorrhoids. Sooner or later, every asshole gets one."

Loretta Lynn should be nominated. and sweep every category for which she's eligible, for that matter. "Awards are like hemorrhoids. Sooner or later, every asshole gets one."

from your profile: Favorite (other) artists: Kanye West,Usher,Destiny's Child,Basically anything dealing with R&B,Pop,Rock,Soul,Hip-Hop,Gospel,and Justin Timberlake but that's okay. they're probably paying you to badmouth U2 also. This is why pop shit like Usher is selling so much. Some people do not have a clue. Outkast is cool, but the others don't deserves any awards at all.

Prince's "Musicology". It may not be Prince's best album but it sure as hell beats most everything else that was released in 2004. Andy is a four letter word.

there was quite a bit of good music released this year. Beastie Boys U2 The Cure PJ Harvey Bjork Morrissey George Michael Elton John Franz Ferdinand Interpol Gwen Stefani Rufus Wainwright Loretta Lynn now, i'm not saying all of those are better than Musicology, but it was hardly a bad year for really good releases.
