YES!!!

I was wondering when these guys would release an album. Gilles Peterson has been playing their stuff on Radio One for months; I may have even heard my first Plantlife track a year or so ago. Definitely check these guys out; I like everything I've heard from them so far. They are definitely on some next-level stuff.

I like what I've heard from the snippets... but if I buy this album and it doesn't live up to the hype I've seen so far, I'll be pissed

I take Pharell's recommendations with a grain of salt.

I like the music, but the vocals are the same on all the tracks and they're pretty annoying. Just a Andre 3000 ripoff.

I've had this album for about 3 weeks & it's full of 70's inspired funk & soul & it's excellent. If you like PFunk/Cameo/Bar-Kays type funk then I recommend it wholeheartedly. It can more than stand up on it's on without ridiculous comments about being an Andre 3000 rip off (some people..... ).
2 or 3 tracks have a huge Prince influence & he gets a name check on one of them. The track 'Beautiful Babies', which was the track that turned me on to them is excellent & very Prince-like.

They are playing in London this Thursday night with Gilles Peterson. It's only £6 as well so gotta be worth checking

The little bit I heard defiantly has Prince flavor all over it. Nothing original, but I do like what I hear. P is still influencing these young and old artist. It funny how P’s name is always mentioned when these young artists come along and blow up. Still nothing original that’s mho but I like it.
