Don't make me laugh.....u know what else is good about Paula...she DID NOT EVER TRY AND USE SEX TO SELL HER DANCING.....who cares how big they all r now.....Paula was not at the top 4 long but she has more then enough INNOVATIVE work to hold her own.....play her video "cold hearted" with sound off if u have to and u will c choreographers today could steal some movies and they still be called fresh.....ajnet is different after Puala left her...still great though! Yeah, I give u the "cold hearted" comment.....but u know what I mean.....once apon a time, dancers like janet and Paula did not need to sell sex to get record buyers.....they both stayed true to their artform.....Paula in "cold hearted" is sexy BUT backs it up with many well thought out dance moves etc.....good to know u remember the video though

Janet sold herslf out sex wise after janet. was released, but still danced well in her videos.....britney's moves r tame and boring and usually involve hitting the floor in some form of orgasm she is pretending to have.....zzzzz.....put Usher next to Britney and c what happens.....heck even at paula's age she could still give britney a run 4 her money.....

I don't really remember the dances from the rest of the videos

Paula was good in the ORIGINAL "Knocked Out" and "Cold Hearted" and aiight in Straight UP, but I'll take lessons from Janet cuz Paula probably will 4get sum things, and she's not really dancing anymore.

Fair enough.....but this ain't about who is a better teacher now though.....

Remember Britney on the MTV awards with the snake and the one where she took off the black outfit and hat and had on that sexy outfit and starting dancing? That was one of the best dance performances i had ever seen. She stole the show that night. That is something Janet used to do and Paula never did(steal the show that is)

ya'll seriously need to watch the Cold Hearted Snake video. i just looked at it again today..and WOW. Let's just put it like this, and i don't know why we're arguing over this. they're both good respectively. Janet's an extraordinary dancer for someone who never had any classical training, and Paula's an extraordinary dancer because she honed her craft. BASICALLY. I could see if Janet also took dancing classes and such like Paula, but she didn't, yet she is still one of the greatest. So they are both good respectively.

that's what prompted me to right this thread, I saw her videos casually the other day (i thought lost 'em years ago) and in particular, i noticed how good "cold hearted" was! Has not dated AT ALL and is fun to watch yet profesional and yet still not pretentious or theatrical, which to me is real skill.....making serious dance moves to fun pop music that is interesting, yet does not look like something from "cats"

not only is she an excellent dancer, but she's a great choreographer. superb and highly sought-after, especially in movies these days.

the most amazing thing about her choreography is what i've seen a couple of people mention already.... it doesn't look dated. and that's particularly impressive considering that at the peak of her dancing/singing/video career, it was an era of very current, dated-looking choreography. yet hers remains fresh after all of these years. i've noticed the same thing with the choreography she did for janet as well. there's the occasional Tina Landon (or that guy that did the RN stuff) choreography or move that just doesn't look natural at this late date. when i see all (or most) of the stuff Paula did with Janet, it still looks pretty fresh, and not anachronistic.


so anyway, back to the point. i'll go with Paula. Janet was lucky to learn at the feet (so to speak) of the master... and i don't mean her brothers.

Anyone got any recent pics of Paula? I heard she looks pretty bad now.....
