You know what? Fuck those stupid Rock polls! I don't trust them anymore. Rolling Stone, Spin, Q, Uncut, or anyone else just churning out polls of the best ever this and best ever that can do that. Just don't expect me to believe that whatever they say, goes. It's just their opinions and sometimes the opinions of the minions in the industry, and I could care less about it.
If it were up to me, the top 10 greatest albums would go as follows: 10.Rooty 9. Rio 8. Entertainment! 7. The Specials 6. Catch A Fire 5. The Lexicon of Love 4. Bitches Brew 3. Revolver 2. London Calling 1. Purple Rain But that's just my oinion. But I'm pretty sure the media sees things otherwise. They'd rather include Nirvana, or Springsteen or The Who, or Pearl Jam or Bob Dylan. Bob Dylan can't even sing for fuck's sake! So, whatever list you see in magazines or on TV, you don't necessarily have to believe just because they say it. OK, that's enough for me. OK, that's enough for me. i'm sure all of those people had their own top 10, just like you. then they were compiled and averaged. so what's your point.... you're pissed because the people that put together that list don't have the same top 10 as you? hell, for all you know, one or to of them could have. seems like a pointless thing to be pissed about. if you put together a top 10 list of Prince songs as polled by the people on this site, you'd have plenty of people pissed off that "Tamborine" or "Life Can Be So Nice" or "Annie Christian" or some other annoying shit got left off. happens all the time on those survivor threads. It's not just that, dude. Sure, I'd like to have things my way, but we all have our own tastes. But it seems like these people that come up with these lists believe that this is the way it is. It seems like if you don't like Nirvana or Metallica, for example, then you're just not with it. They think these are the be-all to end-all of polls. And to me that's bullshit.

i think the point of polls are to engage people in discussion.....the actual placing of songs or what not isnt as important for me...
