Most people will recommend 'Yankee Hotel Foxtrot', but I'm a big fan of 'A Ghost is Born'. I really enjoy the vibe of the entire album; Jeff Tweedy is one of the best modern rock musicians out at the moment.

In my opinion, the 3 latest Wilco releases are their best:

1)A Ghost is Born
2) Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
3) Summer Teeth
I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

Being There is my favourite, because it's the only one I own. It's a classic!

Yes, me too. I don't have all their albums either. I have:

Being There
Summer Teeth
Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
the one they did with Billy Bragg

I also have Anodyne by Uncle Tupelo, which is the band Jeff Tweedy used to be in, and it's also a very good record.

I've been thinking of getting AM next.

Their movie I Am Trying To Break Your Heart is a good documentary with some great Spinal Tap moments.

Do you have any of Gram Parson's stuff?

Poco too.

...and Madonna's brother-in-law Joe Henry. When he was in The Jayhawks. 'Blue' should have been number one in ever country for at least a month.

I agree with that. Anodyne sometimes sneeks onto my top ten favourites list when I'm in the mood for it - I also think that the first Son Volt album (the other splinter group from Uncle Tupelo) was better than anything Wilco did. I really loved Windfall from that album. I haven't heard anything from them in a long time, though.

Anyway, I'd say Being There is the best Wilco album - it's got some fat on it, but it's loaded with quality tracks.

I've never heard that track. I only have one Jayhawks album - Hollywood Town Hall. I like it an awful lot - I'm honestly not sure why I've never picked up more of their work...
