MrSquiggle said: Not an Ice-T fan? Oh I just bolded the other 2 because you must have recently purchased I thought you had already mentioned Ice T on your thread about getting into quality hiphop... Thought you already had those albums.. but I think you were talking about Freedom Of Speech on that one, now that I think of it. No Ice-T is cool. I like this one: ![]()

Hell it's been 13 years since I bought a cassette, that was when I got my first CD player, I can't truly remember. Jeux Sans Frontiers

Tweet's album. I wanted it so badly but couldn't find the CD, so I snatched the cassette.

It was a never opened maxi-cassette single of 'U Got The Look' in a longbox. I opened it and ripped it to a WAV file.
All the boots of the 12" mixes flying around are all from vinyl and sound too "loud". Many of them have unmistakeable stylus noise too. This was clean as a whistle.

Badly Drawn Boy's 'The Hour Of Bewilderbeast'. I've recently bought a copy of it on CD funnily enough.

Media Play had a bin full of tapes they were trying to get rid of for only 10 cents each but there was nothing great or recognizable. I ended up picking up a tape by the Puppies (not even the one with "Funky 2 See U"...what crap) and Martha Wash solo album after all that drama with her voice being taken. I don't care for either one and they are just taking up space. I used to dig tapes. As for if they are still making tapes in America, not very much if at all. You see them every so often for new releases.

omg you took it back. remember that inoj(?) chick? and i cant remember the last time i bought a cassette. I think the So So Def Bass comps were probably the last new albums I bought on cassette back in '97. When I first downloaded an MP3 in '98, that was the end of cassettes for me.

Ya know, I have no idea. I used to buy tapes all the time, even after I had fully switched over to cd's. But it's been quite awhile. Probably 2 or 3 years. I remember getting "Happily Ever After" in Chicago for like $3 cuz it's so rare.
