Rumors on the Queen of Pops new album Madonna is currently experimenting with new sounds for her new album.
Madonna is going to write music (by herself and with other musicians) and lyrics to complete some songs she wrote during the re-Invention Tour. She is being the Creative Mind and Stuart Price is being the Technical Part. Apparently a rocky trip hop sound is what Madonna is going for. Regarding producers or collaborators, we have some exciting news. Andrew Barlow (Andy), amazing mastermind and musician behind Lamb, is working in a demo for Madonna. Madonna is a very big fan of this British duo. Andrew Barlow worked with Guy Sigsworth in Lamb "What Sound" album featuring the incredible track "Gabriel". Guy introduced Andy to Madonna and Madonna is waiting for a demo that Andy is doing for her, with a trip-hop pop feeling to it. Madonna is thrilled to work with Andy. Regarding the Martin Gore demo that he did for Madonna, we can inform that Madonna is going to rewrite some of the lyrics of that song and record some raw vocals for Martin. This demo has yet not title. So we called it "Martin Track". William Orbit got call for the re-working of an old song, “Liquid Love” (working title). If William Orbit is involved in the new Madonna's album, it is only in that one track. Madonna did not let William include this track in his new solo album, because she is in love with this track, but she hasn't been able to fit it in "Music", or in "American Life". But now she wants to re-work the music with Orbit. Again this is all in the process of writing and creating new stuff, so this is purely demos only. We have no certainty if we ever going to be able to hear these tunes. Hopefully we will. Again this is all subject to change and nothing is official. We are not confirming any songs, demos or lyrics of any kind, we are just communicating the information that is circulating around Madonna and her new album that is brought to us by very reliable sources. taken from Drownedmadonna.com You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna

It's interesting that they're gonna take an demo from the 'Music' sessions ("Liquid Love") and re-work it for possible inclusion on the new album. Some of the 'Ray Of Light' demos, such as "Like A Flower",should also be re-worked.Those are superb songs and I want them to be released,in some form or another.

Well, do you know Depeche Mode's music? That's all you really need to know about him. Their sound is very dark and seductive. They're primarily synth driven and have killer harmonies. Dave Gahan is the lead singer, but Martin sings backing vocals on most tracks and takes the lead on a few too. The songs that he sings tend to be very beautiful and heartfelt. He has a very touching way of singing. Their sound has evolved very well with the times but strong melodies are always at the core. I think the themes he deals with would be a good match for Madonna. I would love to see them do a whole album.

Another dance/trance album, getting a bit tired isn't it she doesn't have the voice to pull off dance music, leave that to Marha Walsh and Jocelyn Brown. We need a follow up to Bedtime Story!! (and not of the childrean variety she's been doing lately) . [Edited 11/19/04 20:22pm]

she doesn't have the voice to pull off dance music, leave that to Marha Walsh and Jocelyn Brown. We need a follow up to Bedtime Story!! (and not of the childrean variety she's been doing lately) 2 things: 1. you don't want a dance/trance album, but you want a follow up to her most straight-up dance/trance track up to that point. interesting wish you have there. 2. a Mariah Carey fan looking for another artist to go in a new direction. that's a gas "Awards are like hemorrhoids. I'm so excited about this. I'm glad she's incorporating rock into the album. I loved "Candy Perfume Girl", "Burning Up", and "Material Girl" from her last two tours.

GrayKing said: Nope, the song "Never Young Again" from Mirwais' album is basically the song that "Music" turned into."Liquid Love" is an entirely different song, and there is no Mirwais involvement. It's a William Orbit/Madonna composition.

That's nice. But I'd much rather have her version released. I've always felt that "Like A Flower" was probably left off 'Ray Of Light' because it's too similiar to "The Power Of Goodbye".What do you think?
