What songs do you love by WAR? I'm looking for more to get into. Thanks.

JanFan, now that I think about it I remember hearing a couple of War samples in Janet Jackson songs. But I can't remember which songs by Janet or the album it came from.

There is a more recent anthology from Rhino that more or less covers the same ground as the one mentioned by Supernova and tA.It's called "The Vey Best Of War".

Personally ,I can recommend the album "The World Is A Ghetto".It has been remastered and has the full length versions of songs that are usually edited for the comps.....

I used to love this band back in Junior High.....which was odd because that was when everyone else was into Blackstreet and Bone Thugs.

Meanwhile I was into theose laid back SoCal grooves.

If you get a chance to see these guys live, do it!! We went to one of their concerts last year and it was amazing...I had forgotten how much I liked their music. They came out and played a few notes and the whole crowd,maybe 10,000 people ,just went crazy singing "Cisco Kid".He told a lot of stories about the music business in the seventies,Eric Burton and Sly. It was the best concert we went to that year, and that includes Pearl Jam and Coldplay among others. I would recommend the Anthology Album.

Saw these guys 2 years ago at the Cherry Festival here... They absolutely rocked the outdoor theater.. Came down off stage and played in the crowd...man o man...they were as good as I remember from back in the day...
