the only way its similar to a prince vid is that the props look cheap. Yesterday is dead...tomorrow hasnt arrived yet....i have just ONE day...

Alright everybody, I really dig the single Prototype. As for the video, its another story. I kind of understand where Dre was going with the video as an obvious sci-fi fan but damn he really went to extreames. These extreams taken in the video really detracted from the beauty of the song. What the hell was this man thinking  ? I guess he must have been watching too much Star Trek. Anyway,even if the video is a trip, the cut is still my jam. I love The Love Below, but Prototype is one of my least favourite songs of the whole album...However I like the video, it even made me appreciate the song a bit more. And it does not remind me of Prince at all  With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be!  Agreed. Dre definitely doesn't remind me of P neither. Dre put fourth a good college towards sounding like P on this track but he didn't succeed. However, I still dig it. | |
