I still listen to "It Seems To Hang On," so I'd pick that one. I think we have "Don't Cost You Nothin" on 45. Radio wore the heck out of "Solid" but I can still listen to it...ocassionally "Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!

Can't do just one.
Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing Ain't No Mountain High Enough And for the groove and its testament to a love that's survived... Solid Solid, solid as a rock That's what this love is That's what we've got Solid Solid as a rock And nothing's changed it The thrill is still Hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot You didn't turn away When the sky went gray Somehow we managed We had to stay together You didn't bat an eye When I made you cry We knew down the line We could make it better And for love's sake Each mistake you forgave And soon both of us Learn to trust Not run away It was no time to play We build it up Build it up Build it up And now it's solid Solid as a rock That's what this love is That's what we've got Solid, solid as a rock And nothing's changed it The thrill is still Hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot Gone with the wind Another friend got in between And tried to separate us Knock knock on wood You understood Love was so new We did what we had to And with that feeling We were willing to take a chance So against all odds We made a start We got serious This wouldn't turn to dust We build it up Build it up Build it up And now it's solid Solid as a rock That's what this love is That's what we've got Solid, solid as a rock And nothing's changed it The thrill is still Hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot Solid tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. In addition to "It Seems To Hang On",these are my other favorite songs by them...
"The Debt Is Settled" (1978) "Found A Cure" (1979) "Love Don't Always Make It Right"(1980) "Street Corner" (1982) "High Rise" (1983) Do you guys remember the 1980 Gladys Knight and the Pips hit "Landlord"? That song was written and produced by Ashford and Simpson and it's one of my favorites too.

DavidEye, we're on the same wavelength. "It Seems To Hang On" is my favorite Ashford & Simpson song as well. I clicked on this thread to wax poetic about the song, and you've already printed the lyrics and everything...
I've got to find my greatest hits CD now, I'm in the mood to listen to them.
