Crystal Waters "Come On Down"

I was just going through some of my CD collection and found a Crystal Waters "Millenuim Collection" (you know, those mid-budget discs from Mercury/Mca/Casablanca that collect 10-12 songs from various mildy or even hugely succesful artist) and played the whole thing. Not bad. I kind of miss her so decided to look if she had done anything since her 1998 offical hits collection and I found this single "Come On Down", which I think I might have seen at mall. I had no idea what it was but read a review online that said it used a "The Price Is Right" theme. I thought that must be some kind of joke or it only used it to the point where no one would notice but then I saw the title "Come On Down" and thought...no. Anyway, I listened to a 30 mintue sample....so fucking tacky. I can't believe, much like the Amazon reviewer, I thought, "She came back for this?". The review did call "100% Pure Love" a flop, so I didn't think I should take their opinion on the song seriously at first but man, this song. It's just so fucking ridicilous but it did hit number one on the dance charts,so it reached it's audience. Any Crystal Waters fans out there? Anyone own this maxi and are do they like it? Is she ever coming back again or any other dance diva updates (we all know what Madonna's up to, I mean Samantha Fox, Cece Peniston, etc.)?

I have been a fan of hers for a while. My brother went to college w/her at Howard. I recall her releasing something recently (1yr ago) on a independent label which was ok and I heard on Music Choice and at a club. I wonder what she is up to now.

I could have sworn I heard that she released something on an indie label but I can't find anything. Must be really indie since Amazon and AllMusic don't have it listed.

I found a pretty interesting interivew with Crystal about what she's been up to lately. I don't know is he is being fun and playful or is really full of herself. She seems pretty cool though.

And I don't know where these 10 number dance hits are coming from. Maybe Allmusic isn't that reliable as it seems. And I don't see a date for the interview but I'm last year, maybe around this time since January is mentioned as the future and the interviewer brings up Donna Summer's and Cyndi Lauper's lastest releases, from September and Novemeber 2003, respectevily.

Does anybody remember that song which was like a response to 'Gypsy Woman'?

The chorus went: "The bitch got nowhere to live. The bitch got nowhere to live". I know it was puerile but it was very funny.

Oh, how I used to love "100% Pure Love" when I was little!
