I did it. I stole some trax of the net. I fully intend to buy the album(not the delux edition, just the regular version) when it comes out on the 23rd. But Gwens trax are extremely good. This album is gonna do great. Gwen is a born entertainer. I was really impressed with the trax. I only got about 5 or 6 but they are all extremely catchy and different. Not much on the charts today sound like them. Anyone else out there done what I done. Lemme know what U think about Gwen's stuff

I've got the entire album and it's Fabulous!

I especially love "What You Waiting For" "Rich Girl" "Hollaback Girl" "Cool" "Bubble Pop Electric" "Harajuku Girls" and "Crash"

It's very electro pop, 80s influenced and refreshingly different! "Crash" has the Prince keyboard sound, "Real Thing" has the New Order guitar sound. Andre 3000 appears/produced "Bubble Pop Electric" and "Long Way To Go." My least favorite track is the Dr. Dre produced song "Luxurious" but it's growing on me. I see a remixed version of this album in the future. I know it will be pumpin' in the gay clubs!

You can listen to it on MTV.com. I recorded it to MiniDisc then to my computer then to CD, but I'm buying the dulux edition Tues.

001 What You Waiting For
002 Rich Girl
003 Hollaback Girl
004 Cool
005 Bubble Pop Electric
006 Luxurious
007 Harajuku Girls
008 Crash
009 Real Think
010 Serious
011 Danger Zone
012 Long Way To Go
Socks still got butt like a leather seat...

Glad to hear so much good stuff about the album. I'm not a big No Doubt fan but dug the first single and am always interested in good dance pop. But this is the first I read of DELUXE EDITION. Good damn! I got pass on that and go for the regular edition, which will hopefully be the customary $9.99 at most stores.

Ok, well Gwen made a pretty frilly box with lots of lace on it and....yeah, well, that's about it!

"Fabric wrapped, gold embossed, hardcore digipak - Book style layout with gold ribbon bookmark - Plus a custom CD case designed by Gwen"

Now, fork over that extra $20US!

Hell no, brother! Extra $20! I want extra content, not a damn fro fro box. The Cure special edition I only had a DVD with the making of the disc...which I never watched, so unless you're really giving me something good (the Manson special edition had a full DVD, as does the Mandy Moore special edition disc, I think) I've learned my lesson!

$20 more! You could buy three copies of the CD (figuring it will go for like $10, maybe even less considering after Thanksgiving next weekend) or just one copy with the pretty box. She's nuts! I don't think anyone is really expecting that much from this album that they want a deluxe edition! It's either going to be a fun light, dance pop album or a messy melodramtic piece of shclock with way too many producers.

At the very least a bonus DVD. Digipacks are nice but not worth extra by any means.

Yes they are! Gwen spun the lace herself. She earned every cent of that $20 premium for a plastic box with some frillies on it!

This album is hot. Possibly album of the year. I especially like the two tracks with Andre 3000's input. Smart move, working with him while the iron's hot.

Anyway, I can stop work on my 80's inspired album, because Gwen already made it for me, and there's no way I could top it... sad

Not sure. I like her just fine, but don't ever buy her albums. I'm sure my brother will be getting it, so I'll listen to his.

I like the cover art.....better than any other No Doubt cover art. biggrin Well...I like the cover for Rock Steady, even though it was just words. Wish I could say the same for the actual cd.

SassyBritches

after hearing it one time, i'm not as impressed as i'd hoped to be. there's a few songs that sound very no doubt, which is fine i guess, but why not save those songs for a no doubt record? what you waiting for is a hot track and i don't think there's anything on the record that is on the same level as that song. its like they shot their wad by releasing that as the first single. there were a few (4 or 5) tracks that really jumped out at me and the rest were songs that i will probably not pay attention to.

hmm...now i'm wondering if i'm even gonna buy it. i guess if its 10 bucks at best buy i'll pick it up for those few tracks. if not, i'll buy the songs from itunes.
