Do you have 500 friends...I doubt you have even 5 never mind 500!! and with racist comments you've probably lost a few more.

The pills aren't working yet then

The Bee Gees have more talent in their baby fingers than these 3 girls combined. I don't dislike Destiny's Child, but their talent level doesn't even come close to the Gibb brothers.

your right and these are amazing numbers when you consider after Saturday night Fever the Bee Gees were just about blacklisted from radio jhere in the U.S throughout all of the 80's and half of the 90's and a few albums even failed to reach the top 200 album chart

No-talent....yes.

Black....has nothing to do with it.

Bitches....no. I consider a "bitch" as a strong independent woman capable of doing things alone. In other words, I put "bitches" on a pedastol and use the word as the highest form of complement. Destiny's Child are far from "bitches".
Andy is a four letter word.

Hey, everyone, just to let you know the DC sales are only STREET DATE VIOLATIONS, which means it's actually a huge number. The album bows this week at #19, even though theoretically it was released just yesterday and should have opened next week at #1.

They released the DC album on a Monday, a day early, so it's first appearance on the chart will only account for a single days sales and considering most fans thought the album was going to be released a on Tuesday, those sales probably won't be that impressive. I'm not really defending them (I actually saw the album in one store on Sunday but passed on it and really am not interested) but just aggreeing that the album wasn't offically tanked.

As for the Bee Gees, I don't think yet another greatest hits, one of those ever trend setting "Number Ones" albums, at that, is something to be cheered on considering they just released a double disc a year or two ago. I'm not sure if this even their idea, though.

Billboard is reporting them as street date violations. Columbia moved up the release to Monday (it was originally set for Nov. 16) to deal with the problem. A whole slew of albums debuted as street date violations this week.

If I'm not mistaken the sales week is Monday to Sunday, however, so Monday's sales aren't reported in that tally. Eminem's record was moved up to Friday, and it had "three days during the sales reporting week", according to Billboard.

Agreed. I won't be buying this as I've got everything on it already. I thought the release was too soon after the last hits collection. It's probably a record company thing. It's lacking in certain number ones anyway. It would've been nice to have seen One & For Whom The Bell Tolls in place of Islands In The Stream & Immortality which were number one hits for other artists. And as far as I'm aware More Than A Woman didn't even get to number one. hmm

I was gonna send u an orgNote, but on second thoughts I have decided 2 make this public instead!!!!!

First of all, I am NOT AND NEVER WILL B RACIST!!!! Hell, my husband is Mexican/American!!!!! His name is Jose Cantu Mata, so that makes my last name Mata!!!! MY parents in law couldnt speak a word of English as they had Mexican/Mayan/Aztec backgrounds!! I had my wish fulfilled when I met and married him!! My wish was that I would never marry anyone from this country, basically, because all guys from this country are more married and devoted 2 the pubs and the football terraces than they are 2 their families!!!!

When we lived in the USA, most of my freinds where from African/American, American Indian and Mexican/Latino ethnic backgrounds and 2 b honest with u these people are some of the most beautiful, spiritual, loving people I have ever known, unlike people from this country!!!!

As regards the Bee Gees/Destiny Child thread, I was just stating that 2 me Destinys Child are all black Britneys as far as I am concerned!!! According 2 one interview, when Prince was rehearsing his Grammy performance with Beyonce, he sat her down and taught her a few chords on the piano, because, from what I gather, I dont think she had ever sat down in front of one in her life!!!!!

Once again, I repeat, I AM NOT RACIST!!! I AM A PRINCE FAN, ARENT I?????

I think what you said was racist - but im torn as to whether you are actually a racist. I think however that you make racist comments without being a racist per se.
The arguments you use do not back up your theory however - "MY parents in law couldnt speak a word of English as they had Mexican/Mayan/Aztec backgrounds"
OK we get it that you married into a family that is not from white middle england - but this generalisation that because someone has a certain background they obvisouly do not speak a second language that is not true. (I know many Mexican/Mayan/Aztec's who learned to speak english and other languages) and couldnt be taken as a racist comment in itself!!

Another generalisation - "all guys from this country are more married and devoted 2 the pubs and the football terraces than they are 2 their families"

ALL GUYS?? I dont think so - its a ridiculous thing to say (and i think you know it) almost as stupid as saying you couldnt get a husband in the UK because they dont want to marry fat stupid wasters who spend all their time on the internet posting to a fan site based on an aging musician, so had to go outside of the country and marry someone who is the child of parents with a limited IQ. Now i dont know anyone who would say such a thing - but none the less its a stereotype that is ridiculous!!

" was just stating that 2 me Destinys Child are all black Britneys "

It's here that you really fall down. Why do you need to distinguish skin colour? You could say something they are a group of Britney wanna-be's. You would never say Christina is a white Beyonce or Eminem is white Dre, or lets go and see that Prince, the black, italian, cherokee mix, in concert. No - you use skin colour and race when it suits you.

Now that this is a public debate and its about people of different race - remind us of why you got kicked out of the JW church - wasnt it because of improper relationships with someone of african american descent? - That proves it for me - you cant be a racist - you are many things but not racist!

Only one album failed to hit the US chart and that was High Civilization (1991). It did, however, reach no.2 in Germany. Interesting how tastes differ from one country to the next, isn't it!? smile
