Another dance/trance album, getting a bit tired isn't it wink
she doesn't have the voice to pull off dance music, leave that to Marha Walsh and Jocelyn Brown. We need a follow up to Bedtime Story!! (and not of the children variety she's been doing lately)

What do you mean that Madonna "doesn't have the voice to pull off dance music"? Most of her biggest hits have been dance songs! confuse

Just because she sings it doesn't mean she's any good at it. Jlo sings r&B doesn't mean she knows how 2. I think she falls short when she attempts to sing dance music, vocally she can't do it at all! Marsha Walsh & Jocelyn Brown even Deborah Cox are much more succesful at this style. I think everyone would love to see Madonna return to her pop/soul roots, I think vocally as a POP singer she's far more superior

Hey I'm sorry but she aint a good enough singer to pull off dance music, she can get away with POP much like Britney. but when she ventures too deep into dance music or r&b she can't compete with the DIVA's. Anyway I think it would be cool if she teamed up again with Nelle Hooper and Dallas Austin

You're contradicting yourself.Earlier you said that she should return to a soulful 'Bedtime Stories'-type sound and now you're saying that she fails whenever she ventures "too deep into R&B".In any case,it's a good thing that Maddy doesn't go to you for career advice.

Madonna started out as a dance artist. those are her roots if you want to say go back to her roots. her vocals are fine for dance. Amber Kristine W Crystal Waters all don't have the gospel voices and make great dance tracks. and don't forget Madonna has 36 Dance #1's. her closest competition is Janet at 14

That's nice. But I'd much rather have her version released.

I've always felt that "Like A Flower" was probably left off 'Ray Of Light' because it's too similiar to "The Power Of Goodbye".What do you think?

i think it was left off after ray of light was recorded.

why have to songs that could be title tracks?

Like a Flower would have finished the trilogy

Exactly.Madonna is pretty much the Queen of Dance Music.Even her singles that do poorly on the pop charts ("Hollywood" for example) still manage to go do extremely well on the dance charts.

how do you figure that those other people are more successful at dance music when Madonna holds the record for most #1 dance songs (by a very, very wide margin, i might add)?

Yes, Madonna doesn't have a Donna Summer voice but when it comes to dance music, no one beats Madonna. Her voice makes her songs work. No, her voice woudln't work for something like "You're So Beautiful" but I don't think Donna Summer's voice would work for something like "Music" or "Frozen" (although, Donna Summer singing "Ray Of Light" could be promising).

it's in the works, accroding to her (recently-former) manager Caresse Henry. but she's been saying that for a year and a half. it was supposed to come out around the same time as the box set, but that's been shelved. i'm guessing it'll come out around the same time as the re-invention DVD in Feb/March.

She's actually at 17. "Just A Little While" and "All Nite (Don't Stop)" both went to #1 on Billboard's Dance/Club Play chart this year (and are arguably two of the biggest dance/club songs of '04).

But, hey, who's counting? wink

But Madge's Title of Queen of the Dancefloor is safely in place seeing as a new album is in the works... all of the single will top the dance charts

I'm actually shocked that the 'Re-invention Tour' DVD is not coming out in time for the Christmas shopping season.I wonder why they're gonna delay it until next year (May 2005 is the rumored date)?? That makes no sense. She finished her 'Drowned World Tour' in September 2001,and the DVD was in stores a few months later.

Maybe this time round they need more time to make the images run n*sync
with the sound. You know, make it less obvious she's faking her singing

just kidding tho. i'd like the dvd before christmas as well. can't wait!

from what i've read, it's going to be packed with a massive amount of extras. plus, they're probably waiting to co-incide with an album release (i hope pray)

Yeah,I heard about the documentary film, but somehow,I don't really think that it's gonna make it to theatres. It would make more sense just to release it on DVD,or include it as a second disc with the 'Re-invention Tour' DVD.
