Brian Wilson just pips Frank Zappa into 3rd place. (Today, at least!)

Not so long ago, I would have had James Brown at number 2, but first Miles discovered rhythm, now he discovers melody and harmony!! I like to evolve as a listener.

JB is still hangin' in there at number 4, tho, but with Duke Ellington closing in! I love the Duke madly!

The Cure is the same for me. When Join the Dots came out, I ate/slept/breathed The Cure for weeks. Now with the reissues....

It's hard to have an overall #1. For me, though, if I have to choose one, it is Tori.

Exactly. My brother Moonbeam and I call it a Cure kick. You can just feel it coming on sometimes, even when you haven't listened to them for awhile. It doesn't necessarily take anything to trigger it either. Just all of a sudden you HAVE to have some Cure.

I'm not even really sure who's #3 in my book...I think after Prince and Bowie, there are just a whole bunch of folks I love equally. Right this second it's probably Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, mainly because I'm so thrilled with the new records....
