the ama's sucked ass. i waited all night to see who this "surprise guest" would be and it wasn't prince. the award shows use to be exciting to watch. now days i'd rather have a V8.

I thought the performances were pretty good. I thought Pharell and Snoop were GREAT! Gwen was good, but she is SOOOOO very thin now. I love her though.
Of course, Alicia was wonderful, and Alicia and Usher were good, too.

I have to agree that I'm not a Jessica Simpson fan. I think she is VERY BEAUTIFUL and has a nice voice, but when she sings, she just looks like she's trying too hard. Her facial expressions are the worst.

Oh, and I also wanted to add that Josh Groban did a good job, too. I'm liking him more and more. He seems like such a nice guy, and he has a beautiful voice.

Usher and Alicia are just doing press for "My Boo", that's all (and I think Alicia's "covering" for Usher). People like to think that duet partners mean it.

Oh, and Usher was going way overboard with the MJ fanaticism. First we got the whole ca. 1984 glasses and jacket look, and then he busted out the Smooth Criminal shit during the performance.

I was happy to see Maroon 5. Although I was a little dispointed with his voice. I think he's a little nervous to be on tv, because I caught an SNL repeat this past weekend on Comedy Central and again his voice wasn't up to par.

When I saw them live this past summer he was really, really good. I didn't have the cd at the time, I just went with my friend, so I didn't know any of the songs. I fell in love with them after that show. Great band, great music and great performance. I'm glad they are still getting exposure.

When I saw her take the stage...I was thinking...ok how messed up is she tonight? I was hoping that she'd be ok (I said out loud to myu friends..Hey at least she aint Courtney Love) and as soon as I say that Anna proved me wrong and then took it to new heights of hilarity. That girl is gonna OD one day. SHe MUST know what folks are saying...but just doesn't care.

And what the Hell was going on with Jessica??? They must have told her that she "really had to look like she was singing, so she over acted the lip sync.

Is it me or have pot jokes come this far in the mainstream in as far as acceptance? I live in San Francisco, so I am cut off from what the rest of the US thinks. I see/hear about the war on drugs and crack downs and folks really against in...outside of our state of course. But it seems like pot is sorta the "wink wink, nudge nudge" thing outside of here...where it's pretty accepted openly.

i was pleasantly surprised by that american idol chick fantasia. i thought thought that she was very soulful. i think she was the best out of the show. i thought it was less commercial than i expected from.

all in all it was pretty good...fantasia was AMAZING! can't wait til her album comes out....gwen was cool too...but i was soo pissed and disappointed that the "suprise guest u all will be talkin bout on monday morning" was jamie foxx twista and kanye.....they did good but y'know i thought it'd b prince! or something better.

Ok, I thought the opening was pretty weak. Didn't like the Gwen Stefani song, and why has nobody mentioned Lenny's obvious cocking up of his guitar solos. He played a horribly bum note and did try to rescue it, but it was embarassing none the less.

Some performers were good, but far too many mediocre ones. That Snoop song was far too monotonous for a prime-time awards show. Dull.

I missed the Prince segment. Had to listen to my wife tell me about it in broken English. Ah well, always the Grammys.

Oh yeah, and Jamie Foxx can sing!!! Damn.
