I was wondering,as I posted a reply on a threat that's asking about early house influences,whatever happened to Donna Summer?My fav female voice of all time!I heard she's painting nowadays,but will there ever be a come back?With the right material I'm sure she will be able to make some great new stuff!!

Donna has been talking about a new album for years,but it never seems to materialize.In 1999,she signed a record deal with Sony Records and she began work on an album titled 'Angel'.But unfortunately,she was dropped from the label and the album remains in the vault.The album featured songs produced by Tony Moran,Linda Perry and Brian Rawlings (one of Cher's producers).Here's a tentative tracklist...

As if that's not enough,she has yet another unreleased project,sitting around collecting dust.In the mid-90s,she wrote a stage musical based on her life story.It is titled 'Ordinary Girl' and she completed an entire soundtrack.The play never materialized and the soundtrack remains in the vault.

I wish she'd be doing something totally new,or at least different than the music she made before.Her collaboration with Springsteen in the past was really cool,if she'd only do something like that again...
