Seal Best Of 1991-2004 There has been a bit of talk about Britney's new hits set and even a little about Shania's (much of the talk negative on both). What about Seal. He has a new CD "Best Of" out (even though most people could easily argue that these songs are big hits). Anyone else get it? I opted for the two disc edition, which includes an acoustic CD with a lot of the bigger hits (mostly his signature songs like "Kiss From A Rose", "Crazy", "Love's Divine", etc.) re-recorded along with some others. I listened to the CD with the regular verisons of hits. It's sort of dissapointed they didn't include a dance mix of "Get It Together" since the regular verison really wasn't the one that was a hit on the charts unlike "Love's Divine" and "Waiting For You", where the dance mixes were hits but the regular verisons got a good amount mainstream radio play for AC songs. Ohter than that, amazing songs from a man with a brilliant voice not to mention a heck of a songwriter when he isn't doing covers. Just want to remind people this disc is out there and worth getting if you're a fan. If you're looking for the double disc edition, Circuit City has it for the best price I've seen at $16.99.

Really? I think you'd really dig it. The cover of "Lips Like Sugar" (which probably isn't new to the set, I think it was on a soundtrack to Adam Sanlder's last movie) was not what I expected but I still really dug it. It has a upbeat pop fell and toward the end, Seal starts getting into Reaggae. And I liked that they included "Human Beings" since the album was his biggest flop and most people probably only heard the single for a short time, which didn't do very well.

Anxiety, I couldn't agree with you more. Most of his stuff hasn't been up to par sense his first album. However, the best of CD still seems tempting since there a few cuts that I like on his follow up albums.

I liked it when he worked with trevor horn and Wendy and Lisa. and where is bring it on on the first disk??? I hate that...always one friggin song left off that throws it all off. It is kind of sad when an artist has a greatest hits album out after not that many hits. I love Kiss from a Rose though. One of my guilty pleasures.

Deep Water & Whirlpool are great songs. Think I'll probably get this best of. Pretty good tracklisting.

Seal was great when he popped up on the mainstream U.K. music scene with Adamski's "Killer", and stayed a breath of fresh air for a while. It's a shame his career didn't aspire to greater heights. "..My work is personal, I'm a working person, I put in work, I work with purpose.."

I have all his albums, so there's no need to buy a "best of". I wish I could just pick up that acoustic disc by itself though. That sounds cool.
