Famous people with arrested development

This ain't a thread about Speech or Dionne Farris either. no no no!

I'm talking about people who seemed to stop growing as soon as they got famous. Maybe it's because:

    *they didn't go to school
    *they stopped reading
*missed out on some normal stages of life
*missed out on normal human contact/having friends

It seems like alot of child stars suffer from this.

Michael Jackson: self-explanatory, he himself acknowledges this, and has built friendships based on it.
Britney Spears: she seems to be stuck in teen Valley Girl hell.
Mariah Carey: her album titles say it all.

People who have grown more gracefully:
Will Smith: maybe he had more intelligence to start with, but he started his career very young and has turned out level-headed.

Orgers feel me on this one?

This wasn't meant to be a discussion of people who didn't grow as artists, rather artists who didn't grow as people. Wrong forum then? edit

Then "Artists with arrested development" would have to include almost any "Dirty South" rapper (Cash Money Millionaires, etc.)?

Jazzy Jeff is awesome yeah...

I meant people who no longer act like the age they were when they started the business. Certainly these artists mentioned above continue to grow in expression, but not as people.

I am not African. Africa is in me, but I cannot return.
I am not taína. Taíno is in me, but there is no way back.
I am not european. Europe lives in me, but I have no home there.
I am new. History made me. My first language was spanglish.
And I am

Hmm....

Many of the younger members in boybands seem stuck at the ages they were when they joined -12, 13, etc. even though they're in their 20's now. Does that count?

That's what I figured. Ever see anything recent involving Nick Carter? Giant 12 year old. . It's getting creepy. boxed

Timberlake's not doing much better. I'd say he's on the level of a 15 year old.
