does anybody else hate songs that include children singing??

theres this song by lionel ritchie(dont laugh) that includes children, and they totally spoil the track.

Not all of them-the generic kids singing popular songs is annoying as hell.

Holiday choirs though-the really good children choirs can be moving.

i always thought that Starfish and Coffee would've been cute with some kids singing. seeing as how P is singing about schoolchildren. but yeah that can urk me, especially if the lil' fuckers are off key.

i hate when they put a children's choir in songs - but then again, more often than not, i hate when they put choirs in songs. sometimes it works, but most of the time it just sounds bloated to me, like the band is saying "look how much money we got to make this album - we can cart in a choir!" and when it's a children's choir, it's just creepy.

I hate those new kids soundtracks that take popular songs...make them Barney-like and have kids sing them. I saw this one comp that had kids singing Hey Ya! My skin crawled.

I'm gonna have to go with Anx on this one -most of the time choirs (children or otherwise) make a song sound bloated and overdone.

Sometimes it can be nice though.

Nah, I don't hate it.

Bootsy has some kids shouting lines in "PsychoticBumpSchool" but it's not choir-y at all .In fact it's funky as hell...

Doesn't one of these have a bunch of little kids singing 'Dancing With Myself'?

Brenda Russell's "A Little Bit Of Love" is nice and it has children singing in the chorus at the end.. also that one that Tevin Cambell did with Quincy Jones was good too but he was a kid when he did that one, so kids in the chorus was not so offensive I guess... What the hell was the name of that joint

I kinda agree ...i alwayz thought it, but never said it for fear of people thinkin i was a bit evilcaneval But...it does sound corny!! I love kidz, but honestly, it's like awww let the little kiddy sing...n it's like aww come on i wanna hear da real song i feel like it makes da song all less credible or something...if i had 2 admit that i think it's kinda crap...the response would be 'awww but it's cute' ...yes...but...da context seemz wrong most of da timez!!
