Brandy's Track 5

On Brandy's lastest album, track 5, she mentioned about a song from Coldplay. It sounds familiar but I dont remember what it is. Does anyone know what the title of that Coldplay song is?

Not sure but that is one of my fave tracks from Brandy's cd, a cd that was sadly slept on this year.

I think that the song is titled "Clocks". Her album has been slept on and it's sad because it's such a good album.

On the song "I Tried"--- The line that she keeps repeating: 'Did I drive you away? I know what you're saying..." is from "Sparks" from the Parachutes album, the other sample in the song is from Iron Madien's "The Clansman."

Timbalnd also sampled Coldplay on the last track on the cd "Should I Go."
That sample is from "Clocks" from the album A Rush of Blood To The Head

I just listened to the full CD after owning it since it came out. Very good mature songs yet still a little bit of fun. A very smart R&B record that's also very pop. I never thought Brandy would be capable of a record like this, full of really strong song writer (although she isn't listed as a co-writer on any tracks, which is surprising since I thought she co-wrote songs last time). You can just tell she is singing out the pain and joy in her life and the shout outs to Aaliyah are well done (I like how she does sings Aaliyah's part on "Up Jumps the Boogie"). "Afrodiasic" the track is hot and should have been a hit single. It should have been the first single as well!

I agree. It was one of my favorite albums this year. She always sings about mature things and her lyrics are always on point. I love Brandy!
