I remember when that album came out in 1999, it sounded like no other R&B album at that time. It was a groundbreaker. Back then, the Neptunes were virtual unknowns and had just stepped on the scene. When I heard this album for the first time, it felt like I was in a fantasy and had stepped into an alternate universe. So fantastical. Still a great album. The live shows in support of this record were killer. [Edited 11/10/04 21:28pm]

This album is incredible. Each song follows the next one in unison and seems to present a story. This was Puff and Mary at their best, the chemistry was amazing. The production and the entire vibe of the album had that 70's feel to it with an updated sound. However, some may make the arguement that her first album, What's The 411 was better? They both were classic albums with the first one presenting a more hip hop/street vibe, and My Life is a little more mature and features more ballads and better song writing. Favorite song on the album is Be Happy

Is that your favorite of hers? very difficult to say...depends what day you catch me on. i would say i have the most attachment to it. it definitely means the most to me...musically, lyrically, timeliness. i love scarlet's walk...possibly as much as boys for pele. and i didn't like choirgirl nearly as much as i do now. then there's venus orbiting... like i said...difficult decision, lol.

Cool that you're so fond of her later work. A lot of folks think she fell off after the first 2 albums.

For me it has to be
(What's the Story) Morning Glory? - Oasis (1995) I played this album to death when I got it. I was about 16 at the time and it saw me through my GCSE's. I just listened to it again recently and I still love it I'll leave graffiti where you've never been kissed

True, unfortunately. I guess that what happens when your head disappears up your arse. There's been the odd decent song here and there, but Morning Glory was most def their last consistantly good album.
