What happened to JC Chasez?

I thought his cd was really good. I liked that he took a chance and didn't just do the typical pop thing which would have been very easy for him to do. Why isn't he as successful as Justin Timbelake? He's sings just as well as him, dances and is hotter in my opinon.

JC did deliver, IMO, a much more interesting album than JT.

Therein lies the problem. It wasn't easily digestable OR marketable. Song by song, it all went down easy- but as a whole it was a very odd package. Thanks to nipplegate and brit's broken knee some of his main promotional plans disappeared. Tie that in with a crazily diverse album, it was just impossible to push it forward.

I personally think he should dump the pop schtick and continue on the crazy dance vein. His recent work with both BT and Bsement Jaxx yielded some stellar tracks. If he isn't gonna be a popstar, he could at least carve out a career elsewhere.

PS- I believe he was destined to fail. The title and cover pose of his CD was just a little too similar to Geri H's Schizophonic. He was set-up to follow in her foot steps mr.green

I think U may have answered your own question. I thought "Schizophrenic" was a good record, but it felt really forced 2 me and, in some places, overcompensating. I think a friend of mine put it more directly: "That CD shoulda been re-named 'I Sure Do Love Pu**y'!"

That's what I thought when I first head the title. At least Geri's album was a huge hit in Europe. I remember I was in Italy in the late summer of '99 and "Mi Chico Latino" kept playing on the radio over and over and I really dug it but figured I would never find out what the name of the artist was who did it since I didn't know Italian. Then I saw the video for it on European MTV and was very surprised to find out it was Geri Halliwell. I bought the album based on that and was sort of pleased with it.
