SADE

hmm

That's not quite what I mean. Sade is the lead singer of a band by the same name--like Marilyn Manson. I'm talking about someone who basically records a whole record by themselves under the guise of a band name.

Like "The Smashing Pumpkins?" biggrin

Like those two Tears For Fears albums that Roland Orzabal recorded by himself. That's what I mean.

Haha, did those other guys have any input in the recording process at all or was it all Billy in the studio?

To be fair, he really played well off their drummer. So I guess my answer could have also been:

Like "Zwan?" biggrin

I also forgot about combos or trios that started in a group. For instance:

New Edition - Bell, Biv, Devoe
The Revolution - Wendy and Lisa
Andy is a four letter word.

At this rate she'll release an album every decade. D'Angelo can point to another young buck and say he's not that slow. confused

How about solo artists that ARE a group? Y'know, like Nine Inch Nails.

SADE

hmm

hmmm I am surprised that allot of you are stomped when it comes to her.Sade used to be with a group called Pride in the early 80's prior to going solo(while in design school). She appeared with this group on The Top Of Pops singing backing vocals. All of the UK Orgers should be aware of this and may have to think way back.
