Hey, I thought JZ had retired from recording music?

last thing I recall was that The Black Album was

his last cd, right?

and now I walk through the recordstores and all

i see staring back at me is this half R Kelly,

half Jay Z hybrid hologram.

so they recorded another album together?

so is this really his last record or is he

gonna be the next (living) Tupac, who's on

to his 7th posthumous album I believe.

I just saw a recent interview with him and he said he was done recording "SOLO" albums. lol But watch out! He also has a movie and book coming out soon. In the interview he did seem sincere about not recording anymore. He was saying he's using Michael Jordan as his example , you know how Mike should've stayed away from basketball the first time he retired, he's realized how embarrasing and disastorus. smile

I remember reading about Too Short wanting to retire. It's like he felt underappreciated. (Think he recorded a "retirement" album too.)

I'm sure Jay-Z will be back.

I hate when hip hop artists use that word like its toilet paper...something they can wipe their narrow behind on. I heard Ma$e supposedly retire AGAIN after singing "Welcome Back". COME ON NOW!!!

People like Run DMC, LL Cool J, Grandmaster Flash, KRS-One RETIRE!!!

JayZ, Ma$e, and these other fools just stop making music.

He won't record anymore solo songs.

That doesn't mean he won't be featuring, adlibbing, a&r'ing, etc etc, or stop performing old hits.

I heard he's about to be the president of Def Jam Records or something.

He wants to be Sugar Ray Leonard, not Marvelous Marvin Hagler.
