List of funkiest songs of all-time.

Alright funkateers, here we go, list your top 10 non-prince funkiest songs of all time.
Here's my pick;
#1 Power of Love-Hemdrix Band of Gypsys
#2 Hair- G.C.S.
#3 Valdez,27 Million-24-7 Spyz
#4 Stretching Out-Bootsy Collins
#5 Dedicated to the Press-Betty Davis

its limited to people's knowledge.
im sitting here now listening to some funk that 90% percent of the people that come here would have never heard.
im listening to a gary bartz album called "music is my sanctuary" the last song on side one (thats vinyl 4 some of you) is DA BOMB its called "love ballad"( maybe the craziest envelope filter funk bassline ive ever heard !!! )

One Nation Under A Groove--Parliament/Funkadelic(or whichever one it was officially released under..lol)

Tell Me Something Good--Rufus and Chaka Khan

Superstitious--Stevie Wonder

Erotic City--Prince

Fire--Ohio Players

Peanut Butter--(can't remember who sings this...the chorus had "Peanut butter...ain't nuttin' but a sammich!!" in it..lol)

Backstroke--(can't remember who sang this, either...was it the Fatback Band??)

don't get me wrong, I'm not dissing 'Parliament', it's just that 'Funkadelic' let the band cut loose. And as a musician myself and a guitarist at heart, I'd rather listen to Funladelic.

The biggest difference is that Funkadelic leaned toward the rock end of the spectrum.

Oh yes,I know there's a difference between Funkadelic and Parliament.I have albums by both bands,and I tend to prefer Funkadelic.But,both bands are extremely funky:)
