GangstaFam

PJ Harvey on the early albums

Nirvana

Deee-Lite

I don't count bands like Depeche Mode or Smashing Pumpkins that were pared down from their original line-up.

I wish Prince would've done more with the New Power Trio. They were so tight! A tour with just the 3 of them would've kicked so much ass.

Jimi Hendrix Experience / Band of Gypsies

The Police

Wayne Johnson Trio ( Fusion)

...and I agree with Gangstafam, The New Power Trio should've done more as a unit...

Oh Yeah .... Depeche Mode too , like someone else said. (Never would've had them down as a trio, but I guess you're right!)

Ah yes, the Eric Gales Band. He's an amazing guitarist. Saw him in NYC in April of 2001 - awesome show! Unfortunately, finding any new info on him is just as fruitless as finding new info on Jesse Johnson...
