Most underrated Jackson?

Who's the most underrated Jackson?

Rebbie, Latoya, or Jermaine?

Do you think any of these three could have been a bigger superstar than Michael or Janet?

Randy...he wrote and composed songs like Give it up, Shake your body, Time waits for noone, Things you get for being polite, Walk right now and Lovely one

He is according to Michael multi talented and can play alot of instruments (congas, drums, piano, keyboards, guitar, bass etc)

He has a slight handicapp due to a car accident in 1980 where he almost got killed, thus he cant move 100 %

He sings lead together with Michael in the song Can you feel it (written and composed by Jackie and Michael). He doesn't like he's own voice, it isn't agile enough he says...

yes, although Jermaine is the second best singer I think Randy and Jackie has contributed more in composing/songwriting

I don't know about Jackie. You heard his solo album from '89? Pretty terrible. But he did do some good stuff with the brothers.

Latoya and Tito are the most underrated.

Latoya for her vocals and dacing

Tito for his musicianship and songwriting

How 'bout Marlon for his dance skills? Isn't he supposed to be a better dancer than Michael?

I remember Marlon had an album in the mid to late 1980s. There was a track they used to play on the radio that was a straightup JAM! I can't remember the name of it but when he appeared on "Soul Train" it was the second song he performed.

The hit marlon had was called "baby tonight" and i love that song! Maron also wrote the very silly jacksons track "body"!

Randy did a surprisenly good album called "randy and the gypsy's".....

"love u honey" and "gigolo" r really good funky tracks in the same vein as Chuki Booker! (Remember "turned away" and he wrote/produced Troop's "spread my wings")

"I can't wait" is another good mid tempo off the album! Try and track it down 4 those 3 tracks alone!

I think Randy is great.....he wrote/produced and sang beutifally on the jacksons track "one more chance".....which woulda been huge as a single I reckon! Randy sounds great using his normal range on jacksons track "she"! I love that track so much!

Latoya had some great campy tracks too "bad girl" "playboy" "ur gonna get rocked" "wicked love" "u blew".....the last 3 done by Full force, who I love!

Jermaine had the second best voice after Michael (and before janet) and I do not like his solo 70'a Motwon stuff ("lets get serious" and "daddys home" r cool though!) but I do like his Arista 80's stuff which now sounds very dated!

Rememeber jermaines "dynamite" and "sweetest sweetest"..those 2 tracks r dope! Same with the Steive wonder track "I think it's love"!

"(closet thing to) perfect"
"i can hear heartbeat"
"Give me a little love"

All those tracks r really good!

Then he finished it off with the newjack set of " said" (1991) with a whole album generously dones by then current super hit producers la Reid and Babyface! The tilte track is a real Newjack stomper!

Also, he wrote "One More Chance" which Janet covered in 1993. Excellent B-side from the "janet." era.

Is that the one that is an uptempo funky jam? "Baby Tonight" wasn't the first single was it? I can't remember because I haven't heard it since it was popular. I remember his first single was kinda midtempo and I didn't like it. The song I'm thinking of was the second song the radio started playing. I don't even know if it was released as a single.

If "Baby Tonight" is the song I am thinking of, then I like it better than anything thing the other Jacksons have ever done as a solo artist. I would love to find the album, I've been checking the used record stores.

Did not like her type of music I'm afraid, not even "centi
ipede" or whatever that track was called? Go check out Randy's album, and Marlon's was quite cool too!

I have to say Randy is someone deserving more regognition. The later Jacksons albums that came out, Mike was definitily the driving force, but a lot of those cool songs were written by Mike And Randy. When ever Mike and him wrote a song together on those albums it usually would be one of the better songs to listen to. Also must give props to Jackie because He wrote one or two Great songs On The Triumph Album and The Victory Album (Torture).

I always loved the Jackie/Toto written cut "wait" (but then I like Toto so go figure...) this track (off "victory") may sound very dated, but I love the sci-fi like production and it fits in with that awesome album cover so well! Woulda been great if they ever performed this live! The guitar solo is hard to, and the way Michael comes in at the end gives me goose bumps at times!

I've got to say that it is obvious that you Princefans seem more orientated in the composing/songwriting/instrumental side of the art of music whereas the MJ fans tend to focus on the dancing/vocals

What do I base this on? Well the same question has been asked on MJ forums and the brothers gets quite alot of bashing from certain fans. Not all of cource the MJ community seems divided in this regard, but lots of fans doesn't understand what it takes to play bass, sing lead vocals and move along with the coerografi simultaneously like Jermaine did etc...

I am btw a big fan of Prince as well as of MJ
